This is such an easy peach pie filling to make! I use this in my Peach Crumble Pie recipe! It makes a peach pie that sets so beautifully!
If you’ve ever made a fruit pie before, then you may have struggled with runny fruit pie fillings than turn into more of a soup than a beautifully set fruit pastry masterpiece. How to make the peach pie filling
- Peel, pit and slice peaches. Set aside.
- In a saucepan on medium heat, combine granulated sugar, water, cornstarch and lemon juice. Whisk it constantly until it comes to a boil. It will thicken quickly, about 2-3 minutes.
- Remove it from the heat and stir in the peaches. Add the vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg and stir to combine.
- Let the filling cool completely. At that point you can add it to your prepared pie crust.
