This quick and easy dessert is full of fresh, juicy peaches and topped with the perfect sweet, crispy topping! Serve it up hot with a scoop of ice cream and you’ll fall in love with this delicious summer treat!
If you love my Mom’s Apple Crisp, you’ve got to try this amazing summer treat! I love using seasonal fruits in my baking and this Peach Crisp is the perfect way to enjoy deliciously juicy and harvested sweet peaches! Making a “Crisp” dessert is one of my favorite go-to’s because it’s so easy to throw together. It’s got all the flavors of a fruit pie, but without all the work of rolling out a crust!
I look forward to peach season every summer! There’s really nothing like a ripe, sweet summer peach! I’m always looking for ways to incorporate them into my baking. Whenever you can use fresh, seasonal fruits at their peak, you’re going to get the tastiest results!
A “crisp” is different than a cobbler – rather than being puffy and cake-y like a cobbler, the topping of a crisp has an oat texture and is, you guessed it, crispy. I love this recipe because you can switch it up with so many different fruits! Sometimes, I even add a few berries in there, just to live on the edge!
Making a “Crisp” is so quick and easy!
- Peel, pit and slice your peaches.
- Toss them with, sugar, cinnamon, salt, cornstarch, vanilla & almond flavoring and lemon juice.
- Spread the peaches out in a 9×13 baking dish.
- Make the topping by combining 1 cup of each – sugar, flour, oats and softened butter.
- Sprinkle the topping over the peaches and bake until golden
Be sure to serve your Peach Crisp hot with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream topping – a MUST for a hot, sweet fruit dessert fresh out of the oven!

Hi Heather!
Can frozen peaches be used for this? If so, do you need to adjust cornstarch?
Cindy
Hi Cindy,
Yes, you could definitely use frozen peaches. I would just let them thaw completely and then pour off any juices if any. Hope you enjoy!
