Pumpkin Spice Whipped Cream
Adding pumpkin spice to whipped cream elevates anything you top it with! It’s a quick and easy way to make any treat just a bit fancier and a whole lotta yummier!

During Fall, pumpkin spice is everywhere! And for good reason…it tastes so good and just has a way of getting you in that Fall spirit! I love to find ways to throw pumpkin spice in any and every way I can! This spiced whipped cream is the perfect way to inject that extra pumpkin flavor into so many treats! I love to use it on top of hot chocolate and pumpkin or apple pie!
Real Whipped Cream
Let’s start with one of the things that makes this so special, and that is using REAL Heavy Whipping Cream. If you ever have a choice between REAL whipped cream and whipped cream in a can…is there really any doubt? Whipping up Heavy Whipping Cream is so easy and it really tastes so much richer and creamier than canned whipped cream. Some things to remember when whipping your own heavy cream:
- Be sure to use an electric mixer.
- Whip it when the cream is COLD.
- Using powdered sugar instead of granulated sugar mixes much better with the cream. It won’t have that grainy texture.
- Whip the cream until stiff peaks form. This will ensure it will hold it’s shape when you’re topping your treats! Usually 2-3 minutes with an electric mixer will do the job!
Mixing in just a small amount of Pumpkin Pie Spice will give a slight hint of yummy pumpkin flavor without overpowering the whipped cream. Mixing the spice into the cream instead of sprinkling it on top, will give it a much more subtle flavor and enhance anything you’re topping it with. Give it a try and you’ll love just how fancy and yummy this little trick is.

Pumpkin Spice Whipped Cream
Ingredients
- 1 pint heavy whipping cream
- ⅔ cup powdered sugar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla
- 1 & 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
Instructions
- With an electric mixer, mix on medium speed all of the ingredients.
- Mix for approximately 2-3 minutes or until stiff peaks form and the whipping cream will hold it’s shape when spooned.
Notes
- I prefer powdered sugar instead of granulated sugar when whipping cream. Granulated sugar makes it a bit grainy.
- You can increase or decrease the amount of pumpkin pie spiced, depending on how strong a flavor you like.
